Linda Adams was born and raised in Southern California, amidst a collection of dogs, cats, and people with strange personalities. She started writing when she was eight because a friend wrote a class play.  She already had several writers in the family, including Ernie Rydberg and Lou Hampton Rydberg, who wrote children's books and stories.  Her two grandmothers, Arva Luther Adams and Della "Dick" Hampton Patterson were also writers, as well as uncle Peter Adams.

Linda grew up wanting to see books for girls and women about action-adventure heroines.  Her first co-written book with a kick butt heroine is set during the Civil War in the Shenandoah Valley; the second solo book is an urban fantasy.

She is a member of International Thriller Writers and Washington Independent Writers
