Less Common Civil War Guns

There were many attempts to enter the mass production market during the American Civil War.  This was near the beginning of the industrial age.  Many attempts to make guns during the Civil War only achieved small quantities, such 25,000, which would be a tenth of the Remington production of revolvers and a twentieth of what Colt produced.  A few companies survived the post war slump to become well known among fans of western movies, but all the rest failed financially quickly after the Civil War.  Some of these are so rare as to be known only to the most involved collectors.  This list will be expanded as time and other tasks allow.
